we really struggled to find a compatible ink for 953/XL black:
cyan, yellow and magenta has long been working BUT BLACK did not. HP designed the ORIGINAL BLACK ink in a way that - when you refill with the wrong ink - it will create a a blockage of the nozzles inside the printhead after about 30 pages. Slowly white streaks will appear in the printout.
Most generic ink cartridges from China work this way: Their functionality is ok - the cartridge prints well in the beginning for about 30 to 40 pages - then the problem starts, because original and refill ink dont get along!
With the ink we got now the 953/xl bk works perfect - we tested it and printed more that 140 perfect! A4 pages and there was no change in print quality!
