The nice thing about these cartridges is that resetting the cartridges with new chips is not a problem. Unlike HP Canon does not fight refilling by sending updates over the internet that will make the compatible reset chips installed useless and disables the installed cartridge.
Canon’s strategy here is a different one: they build such a sophisticated cartridge and they also designed the printer in a way that refilling becomes very, very difficult! They also use a very specific ink that is not easily available.
Yes we have worked on it for few years to figure out how to do it and to source a really working compatible ink.
Anyway we figured it out – so just 1 thing: PLEASE BRING YOUR PRINTER ALONG WITH THE CARTRIDGES SO THAT WE CAN INSTALL THE CARTRIDGES FOR YOU. The cartridges will leak into the printer WHEN being INSTALLED, because the ink exit hole is just an opening that can’t be closed. So rather bring your printer, we can show you how its done if you are interested and we can also modify the printer so that you can easily remove the printhead together with the cartridges – which solves the problem as well.
